Work with Bangladesh Government to Supply Nearly 1 Million Smart Meters

The Government of Bangladesh made the decision to implement prepayment smart meter project all over the country to replace traditional meters in order to improve energy efficiency and revenue collection.

In this project, we stood out with excellent product quality, good service and competitive price, signed the  contract with the Government of Bangladesh and provided them with nearly 1 million prepaid smart meters and AMI system with G3-PLC and GPRS / 3G communication technologies applied.

The rapid growth of prepaid smart meters requires efficient and adequate automatic power vending facilities. To achieve this goal, we have integrated smart payment solution(UPSS) so that consumers can purchase electricity by texting messages with mobile phone. It is worth mentioning that Inhemeter is the first company to successfully integrate the prepaid electricity meter with Bangladesh's original prepayment software system.

Later the Government of Bangladesh decided to upgrade the previous prepayment metering system to smart prepayment system and Inhemeter as the leading smart meter supplier as well as technology provider, worked actively with local utilities, developing and implementing the AMI solution.
