The water seepage and tampering problem of the DIN meters had troubled Kenya Power and Lighting Company（KPLC） for a long time and caused huge economic loss. After a series of site investigation and discussion with KPLC, INHEMETER customized a new generation of DIN meter with an IP54 rating which effectively helped to solve their trouble with the waterproof and anti-tamper function, greatly reducing the operating losses of KPLC.
As of 2018, INHEMETER has supplied more than 3 million smart meters to Kenya, which accounts for almost 50% of Kenya's market. We also have won the honorary title of “The Belt and Road Benchmarking Enterprise (Electricity) in Guangdong Province”. As the most advanced smart meter manufacturer in East Africa, Inhemeter’s Kenya factory has been interviewed by Guangdong TV's "Yue Shang Zai Xian" program group.
